Develop and implement University occupational safety, environmental health and regulatory compliance programs including training and safety audits. Provide support to Environmental Health and Safety Operations.
Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Environmental Health and Safety or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
1-3 years experience applying regulations and standards applicable to occupational safety and health, environmental safety and health or industrial hygiene in a variety of settings.
2-3 years experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications.
Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently or in a team environment, and collaborate with multiple campus stakeholders.
Must be able to conduct audits, inspections and field work which may include climbing, walking, standing, squatting or kneeling in a variety of indoor and outdoor environmental conditions.
Must be able to lift and carry 25 to 50 lb. containers or equipment as needed in support of job duties.
Experienced environmental/occupational health and safety professional with a strong knowledge of local, state and federal occupational safety and health laws and regulations.
