The Manager is a visionary leader responsible for the oversight and management of the operational, financial, and administrative functions of the Department of Occupational Health. This position works in collaboration with the department's leadership team to develop, implement and evaluate programs and staff activities in accordance with the department and organizations strategic plan. Additional responsibilities include ensuring OHSU is meeting regulatory requirements, accreditations, and professional practice standards.
Managedaily operations for all back office, clinical, and business functionsto achieve department and organizational strategic objectives.
Ensuringoperational and performance standards are met for assigned teams.
Managethe day-to-day department budget ensuring spending within the budget allocation; monitors and controls expenditures and provides input and direction to the budget planning process.
Developbusiness plans and negotiates funding for department initiatives, as needed.Act as primary contact for all internal and external agreements between the department and OHSU partners.
Ensure department and organizationalcompliance with state and federal regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
Participate in the strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation of workplace safetyprograms and initiatives.
Participate in multidisciplinary quality and service improvement teams and committees.
Serve as liaison andmaintaineffective working relationships with other departments.
Bachelors degree in nursing oran applicable field.
At least 3years of demonstrated successful progressive management experience in a healthcare setting.
Experience in change management and leading performance improvement.
Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills (MS Office suite, MS Teams, web, etc.).
Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodation.
Masters degree in nursing, business, finance or healthcare administration.
Management experience in a large healthcare practice.
Demonstrated working knowledge of CDC & NIOSH guidance and relevance to occupational, environmental, and public health.
Demonstrated experience managing EHS programs.
