Our location in Abbott Park, IL currently has an opportunity for a Manager, IT Business Analyst. The Manager, IT Business Analyst uses programming, database, and data model experience for designing of Business Intelligence applications. This role ensures that valid logic is used to create applications that will meet the customer need for KPIs, metrics, and insights. This team member leads projects and mentors others in creating easy to use, sustainable, efficient, real-time, data-driven tools that drive business value. This person communicates effectively to meet customer needs and requirements. This role requires a high degree of competence in data analytics and business intelligence.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Deliver end to end Business Intelligence solutions through use of programming and creation of data models
Performs R, JMP, and/or other statistical programming to generate analyses of data.
Leads project teams.
Researches and completes proof of concepts for new technologies for future capabilities with business value.
Advises and trains newly hired analysts; directs others in completion of tasks and projects; leads and suggests project improvements for increased departmental efficiency.
Continue to develop skills necessary for advancement; functions independently;
Interacts with all levels of medical and scientific professionals in research and development.
May perform other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience.
Ten years of experience is required, including five years of IT systems management; strong understanding of business and manufacturing principles, information systems technology; organizational practices and principles and project management. Project management experience, preferably with multi-site implementations.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills are needed.
Must have worked effectively with levels of management up to senior directors.
High level of oral and written communications skills required.
At least three years of direct supervisory experience, with demonstrated decision-making, personnel management, and leadership skills are required.
Master's Degree (MBA or MS) desirable but not essential.
Project management certification (PMP) is desirable, but not required.
