The Park County Public Works Department (PWD) with offices in Cody, Wyoming is currently accepting applications for the position of Solid Waste Division Manager (SWDM). The SWDM is responsible for managing the day to day operations of the Solid Waste Division which encompasses three (3) operating solid waste management/disposal facilities, a solid waste transfer station, and a sewer lagoon system. The position has administrative and supervisory responsibilities.
Successful management and execution of the job duties requires strong organization/leadership skills, working knowledge of large-scale earthwork construction, and a working knowledge of construction equipment operation/maintenance. SWDM must be able to multi-task while organizing schedules and directing team members to ensure facilities are operated in the most efficient and effective means possible within given budget and regulatory constraints.
The Solid Waste Division of the Park County Public Works Department with offices in Cody, Wyoming provides solid waste management services to the citizens of Park County, Wyoming and surrounding areas. The County waste management facilities includes three (3) operating solid waste landfills, a solid waste transfer station, and a wastewater lagoon system. These highly regulated facilities are permitted, designed, and operated under the authority of the the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality. Located within a 45 minute drive to Yellowstone Park, Park County is a paradise for outdoor hunters, fishermen, and outdoor enthusiasts with access to millions of acres of public land.
