Our location in Lake Forest, Illinois currently has an opportunity for a Senior Financial Analystwithin Core Diagnostics.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The Senior Financial Analyst will support the group responsible for Lessor Accounting requirements for the Diagnostics Division at the Headquarters level by providing guidance and support to Global Affiliates on lease contract assessment. Position will support accounting processes to ensure proper recognition of revenue and other P&L and B/S items as well as participate in planning and forecast cycles for lessor accounting financials.
Main Responsibilities Include:
Support annual plan and rolling forecasts to capture the financial impact of lease accounting inclusive of both domestic and international affiliates.
Develop detailed financial forecasts incorporating historic and current business information.
Analyze historical data to support ongoing revenue and margin analyses and to investigate new trends to provide insights on financial and business impacts.
Perform ad-hoc analysis as requested by Division and Corporate Management.
Participate in annual global scope assessment and review with Division and Corporate Management. This includes an annual review with all major affiliates' Commercial, Finance, and Business Unit teams on key lease contract practices.
Global support and consulting of all Diagnostics organizations to provide interpretation and application of lease accounting standard to ensure consistent practices across all affiliates.
Proactively work with affiliates to understand new business strategies and practices and assess if new developments and trends will impact lessor accounting.
Drive month-end close process and provide relevant Senior Management reporting packages.
Maintain global lessor accounting system to meet reporting and accounting requirements.
Work with outside vendor to adapt global lessor accounting system to new requirements.
Work under minimal supervision. Independently determine and develop approach to solutions.
Exercise judgment in selecting innovative, practical methods to achieve problem resolution; proactively review processes and implement improvements.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor's degree with concentration in accounting or finance. CPA or MBA preferred.
3-5 years of finance experience to include roles of increasing responsibility in accounting and/or finance.
Financial Planning and Analysis work experience from large corporations (e.g., Fortune 500 or similar).
Industry experience in technical accounting (i.e. Lease Accounting) Financial Planning and Analysis
Experience with any of the following financial management and accounting systems: Hyperion, SAP, and/or TM1.
Strong analytical and communication skills. Ability to communicate complex topics to a broad financial and non-financial audience.
Strong interpersonal skills interacting with domestic and international organizations within ADD, all Finance towers (including FP&A and CFS) and ADD senior management.
Understanding of accounting principles, practices, and standards
Experience in working with international organizations
