Our location in Alameda, California, currently has an opportunity for a Senior Manager, Commercial Communications on Abbott's diabetes care US Commercial Operations team. The US Commercial Operations team for Abbott's diabetes care business has responsibility for sales and marketing activities for the #1 most prescribed continuous glucose monitoring portfolio, FreeStyle Libre.
We are seeking a candidate who not only is passionate about consumer technology and its impact on human health, but also believes that a strong communication platform with consistent, clear messaging is key to the overall success of the team.
In this role, you will inform and inspire US Commercial employees - and you will help leaders lead. You'll develop and promote messaging platforms and programs that educate, engage, and motivate our employees to ensure they have the information they need to be successful in their roles. You will also provide strategic support to executives to build their personal leadership brand and communication strategies to align their teams on our strategy, goals, and priorities. You will use your communications skills to amplify our culture and strategic vision and mission and help to champion connections among teams.
We are seeking a candidate with an ability to manage multiple projects, and with experience in working cross-functionally with other internal teams as well as external partners.
The position will report directly to the Commercial Director, US Commercial for Abbott's diabetes care business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Senior Manager, Commercial Communications, your overall goal is to assist the US Commercial leadership team by establishing integrated programs and messages that help employees feel connected, supported and inspired to deliver on the sales and marketing goals. You'll assist with executive communications strategy and development of internal commercial communications materials. In this role, you'll wear many hats and work with multiple internal teams and agencies. Your responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:
Lead the development of the internal commercial communications strategy for U.S. commercial
Proactively identify new opportunities and develop new programs to continually up-level our internal commercial communications program
Drive and assist with executive communication programs globally among our regional sales leaders, including driving awareness and excitement around impactful news moments, company vision, and product strategy
Plan and run the commercial team's employee engagement virtual and in-person events such as all-hands, town halls, and webcasts, etc.
Build a trusted partnership with the executive team
Ensure that all content is the highest quality, creative, inspiring, compelling, and aligns with corporate messaging
Collaborate with cross-functional communications partners to execute a comprehensive global internal plan to ensure seamless communications
Develop content for sales-related internal meetings and ensure compliance with messages/materials: Sales meetings, leadership events, all-employee meetings, etc.
