The US Affiliate of the Infectious Diseases Developed Markets (IDD) Business Unit has an immediate opening for a Finance Supervisor in our Chicago, IL (Abbott Park) office.
This position organizes priorities and ensures the timeliness, accuracy, and integrity of all financial information while also performing original work (working supervisor). This position is ultimately responsible for establishing, developing, and implementing appropriate processes and procedures to ensure the integrity of financial reporting and planning information, while also providing efficient and effective decision support to Sr. Finance Management
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Facilitate business performance reviews with Regional Sales and Marketing Directors
Directly support VP of Sales in generating and analyzing reports that help assess the performance of the sales force.
Assist in the development, implementation and administration of business plans, marketing promotions, distributor pricing agreements and other contractual support.
Develop expense budgets and track performance vs different benchmarks.
Support the ARDx - US Financial Manager during the financial planning cycles as Plan and RLBE.
Monthly Business Reviews - qualitative and quantitative variance analysis, outlook vs. run rate, Plan, RLBE, trends, developments, issues, risks/opportunities, revenue, margin and expense analysis. Provide succinct and relevant commentary on a timely basis for any issues/unexpected trends in actual/LBE results.
Ad hoc financial analysis - development and reporting of key sales, financial and operating metrics which support strategy and business operations.
Maintain controls to assure the integrity of assets and the compliance with GAAP includes ensuring compliance with Corp/Div financial policies and procedures.
Financial expertise in evaluating and identifying the key issues and gaps in business performance and emerging business needs, deliver analyses that provides a foundation for management understanding and action.
Develop flexible, comprehensive tools to support business proposals focused on ROI and fully burdened margin profitability to support various business needs.
Proactively detects business needs and issues that are currently not being addressed. Drives development of analytic approaches that lead to a comprehensive understanding of the business performance to support decision-making.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE YOU'LL BRING
Bachelor Degree or equivalent of work experience in similar role.
6 years of work experience in the following areas:
Prepare sensitivity analysis impact on revenue, expenses and profitability by modelling changes in key variables (recommending appropriate course of action).
Develop and utilize sound financial processes.
Leads cross-site and cross-functional financial process improvements in Division network, including organizational structural design, reporting and financial planning and analysis.
Prepare financial submissions to Finance.
Masters or Bachelor in Finance or Accounting
Experience in pharmaceutical industry
8 + years of accounting, auditing, finance or commercial Finance experience.
Advanced knowledge in Excel and PowerPoint and Proficient in Access and Word.
Experience with SAP, SQL and Power BI.
