Influence and ensure overall success of Quality Assurance (QA) function within the Office of Animal Care. Develop, support, maintain, and lead all aspects of QA as needed, with a primarily focus on internal audits/inspections, OAC staff training, microbial monitoring, environmental monitoring, safety program and SOP review process. Drive continuous improvement within the site in alignment with IACUC, IBC, and EHS. The QA Specialist is to be forward thinking, creative, and assist in adherence of animal care and use program regulatory compliance.
Required Education/Experience: - Bachelor’s in Animal Science or a related field - Four years of laboratory animal experience - One year of QA experience directly in the lab animal field - Comprehensive knowledge of regulations and guidelines pertaining to animal care and use in a research setting.
Preferred: - Master’s degree in Animal Science or a related field - IACUC and/or post approval monitoring experience - Experience in Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs) - Experience in training
