The primary purpose of the position is to provide vision, planning, management, and coordination for the implementation of the Whole Health System of Care, Health Promotion, and Integrative Health programs including incorporation and facilitation of broader OPCC&CT initiatives and associated outcome evaluations. The primary role of a Clinical Director is to manage and plan how services are delivered and contribute to the process of strategic planning, influencing and responding to organizational priorities. This will involve responsibility for creating an annual Whole Health System Strategic Plan, identifying Whole Health system development priorities, and working with the Executive Team/ appropriate Service level Chiefs, ACOS's, Whole Health Program Coordinator, Employee Whole Health Clinical Coordinator and Whole Health Steering Committee. You will Chair (or co-chairs) the Whole Health Steering Committee and provides oversight to supervisors of 3 elements of Whole Health System (empowerment - pathway, equipping- well-being/self-care, and treatment-whole health clinical care). As the Clinical Director you will occupy the lead management role within the Whole Health System and will be directly responsible for the administrative supervision of staff members including the Program Clinical Coordinator, Employee Whole Health Clinical Coordinator, Educational Champions, and other clinical staff including Chiropractor, Massage, and Acupuncture providers. Although the Employee WH Clinical coordinator will have administrative supervision from the Whole Health Clinical Director, the Employee Whole Health Clinical Coordinator will be matrixed to Occupational Health Service Line. You will be responsible to Develop policy for integrative Whole Health programming within a VA setting as well as plans, coordinates, and partners with service departments across the FNCVACHCS. You will develop, recommend, and implement strategies for planning and participates in the documentation of long- and short-range planning efforts. Reviews long and short-range plans, resource projections, priorities, and justifications. Makes recommendations on specific Whole Health, Health Promotion, and Integrative Health projects and planning efforts that can be accomplished within existing resource levels and advises on the impact of efforts that require additional resources. Coordinates the preparation of and is a chief contributor to the reports and other presentations on program planning and evaluation. You will participate in the strategic planning, marketing, outreach, proposal development, and grant facilitation, as well as facilitates the activation of special Whole Health, Health Promotion, and Integrative Health projects across the hospital. You will have a major effect and impact on the organization because of his/her broad number of contacts with facility, VISN 6, OPCC&CT, national VHA staff; and contacts with local state, government, and external stakeholders. You will be responsible for monitoring outcomes using a data driven quality assurance process of a program that delivers specialized, complex, and highly professional services that directly impact Whole Health, Health Promotion, and Integrative Health programming throughout Integrated Pain Service Line. You will recommend and develop changes to policies and procedures to encourage and promote excellence in partnering with Veterans to develop and implement proactive, personalized, patient driven care with a focus on self-management strategies, health promotion, and integrative health. You will implement program processes developed and designed to enhance the experience of Veterans, 'their caregivers and visitors to meet the mission of VHA and the facility. Ensures that quality care is provided to Veterans, their caregivers, their families and other internal and external customers. You will ensure FNCVACHCS policies and procedures are conducive to Whole Health System of Care objectives while providing the highest level of customer service. You will provide the direction, guidance and coordination necessary for an effective, comprehensive and integrated consumer relations program, addressing formal complaints, tracking and trending these issues, collaborating with Service Chiefs and front line staff to remediate issues and provide data and advice to Senior Leadership to effect operational change in care delivery services. In collaboration with Occupational Health Service Line, the you will provide leadership, guidance, and consultation on staff wellness education and development, and manages an employee wellness program that provides massage, acupuncture, yoga, and health education for staff.
