Position is responsible for managing all aspects of the business relationship with the customer in the Occupational Health/School/EMS Markets. Ensures that all appropriate resources are available and utilized effectively/efficiently to maximize overall business management services and corporate profitability. Develops and maintains positive client relations and coordinates with various functions within the company to ensure client requests are handled appropriately (i.e. within time and budget) while balancing client needs with company profitability.
Position focus on acquiring new business through development and implementation of sales and marketing strategies geared to these three market segments. The Regional Account Manager will attend extensive training on McKesson Distribution, strategic selling techniques as well as in-depth knowledge of all company divisions. This person will also be seen as the subject matter expert for these three markets and will interact with key occupational health customers, schools, and prospects within the assigned territory. The territory for this role will cover Colorado, Kansas and Missouri. Estimated salary is $60+K base w/$40+K commission. Compensation will change based on location of candidate.
Business retention and growing current customers is a key aspect of this position.
Working with national accounts and large government customers.
Prospecting for new business should amount to 40% of the job focus.
Must be able to work predominately independently within managerial guidelines to maintain and build client base in your region.
Develop and implement long and short-term sales and for growing territory market share.
Manage and drive a funnel of sales targets from beginning to end and customize a solution set for each prospective customer with a detailed sales process in Salesforce.
Thoroughly understand and explain McKesson's offerings and key benefits to current and potential customers, sales partners and other members of the implementation, conversion and/or maintenance team.
Work collectively with Bids & Quotes team to optimize sales and close business and maintain contract renewals.
Work with GPO's and manufacture representatives.
Responsible for sales expenses and weekly and monthly reporting to be submitted to management.
Attend Industry trade shows in your region as required.
4 years of relevant sales experience, healthcare preferred
Demonstrated experience with prospecting and closing
Time and territory management over multi-state geography
Salesforce.com, CRM program or some other on-line sales tool experience
Valid driver's license and clear driving record
Demonstrated presentation skills in front of large groups
Must be able to travel up to 50%
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Understand products, pricing, and product knowledge
National Account experience a plus
Proven track record of growing and penetrate market share
Contract process knowledge/experience
Ability to close multi-million-dollar deals
Ability to manage workflow in large matrix organization
BS degree in business or related filed or equivalent experience in Healthcare
