As an Employee Health Nurse(Occupational Health), you will be part of an amazing interdisciplinary teamenvironment. You will plan, develop,implement and evaluate all activities and services relating to the EmployeeHealth Service and Workers’ Compensation Program to provide high quality andcost effective occupational health services to employees, volunteers, andphysicians.
What you will do in thisrole:
You willcoordinate all clinical aspects of Employee Health services includingassessment and treatment of employee injuries/illnesses, post-offer screening,occupational testing and surveillance programs, employee infectioncontrol.
You will workcooperatively with other staff in the investigation, monitoring, tracking andfollow-up of employee injuries and health and safety issues in the workenvironment.
You will providestriage for on-the-job injuries.
You will overseeand direct the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountabilityfor the care given to assigned patients.
You will be a strongemployee health resource and be involved with teaching, counseling andparticipation in presentations.
You will be responsible for tracking and interpreting data using Excel for flu reports, injury reports, root cause analyst, and other reports as needed.
You will work in a very fast paced, multi tasked environment that changes rapidly.
What qualifications youwill need:
Current licensurein the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-stateRegistered Nurse license.
Basic LifeSupport certification through the American Heart Association or American RedCross.
Graduate from anaccredited school of nursing.
Five years of medical/surgicalnursing required.
Valid ColoradoDriver’s license.
Bachelor’s degreein nursing or other health related field required with an advanced degree(MSPH, MSN, NP or other) preferred.
Certification oreligibility as a certified occupational health nurse preferred.
Previousoccupational health nursing and workers’ compensation experiencepreferred.
Experience inemergency department, orthopedic nursing, case management preferred.
Knowledge ofoccupational health, safety, ergonomic and workers’ compensationpreferred.
Knowledge of OSHAlaw, FMLA, and ADA preferred.
