Provides a variety of Occupational Health services to ensure employees are functioning in optimal physical condition during their normal workday and are physically suited for their position. Perform counseling of employees in a manner which provides for employee privacy, confidentiality, physical and psychological well being, while conforming to Safety , Infection Control, Human Resources, and Employee Health Policies with completion of related documentation. Surveillance, prevention and control of infection to reduce risks, associated with acquiring and transmitting infections among patients, employees, medical staff, students, interns, volunteers, and visitors. Perform several critical quality related functions.
BSN with a minimum of 4 years clinical experience required. Must take either CIC exam (with infection control experience) or IPC exam (no infection control experience) within the first 3 months of employment if not already certified. If IPC exam is taken the first 3 months of hire, eligible candidates must sit for the CIC exam within 12 months of that date. Infection control experience preferred. Required Database management including Microsoft Office and Midas.
