Position Overview : The Employee Health & Safety APC will oversee, implement, continually review and update CareMount Medical's Employee Health & Safety program with focus on protecting the health and safety of employees, providers, and patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to the following)
Develop and maintain a CMM Best Practice approach to employee health and safety. The approach will be designed and maintained in alignment with all applicable state and federal regulations and in collaboration with medical leadership.
Develop and maintain the Employee Health and Safety Program including
Vaccine and immunization status screening
Exposure identification for blood-borne pathogens
Incident review follow up and corrective action
Communicable disease exposure prevention and follow up
Implementation and oversight of all employee health and safety programs
Manage the day-to-day aspects of employee health and safety program including
Administrative record keeping
Policy reviews and updates
Facilitates and coordinates activities focused on employee health and safety
Collaborates with other segments of the CMM Management team including Department Managers/Supervisors, Regional Directors and Patient Care Managers (Clinical Operations) to facilitate all aspects of employee safety in different areas and specialties throughout the organization.
Collaborates with Human Resources and facilitates the on-boarding of new providers and employees including all necessary medical screenings
Oversees all employee health and safety screening programs including CMM's respiratory program and fit testing
Acts as primary resource for manager/employee questions with regardto employee health and safety
Works with clinical leadership to review any new clinical work flow processes to ensure all employee safety measures are met.
Performs related work and other duties as required.
Knowledge of all applicable federal and state regulations with regard to employee health and safety in the CareMount work environment
Adheres to all CareMount Medical Group's policies and procedures including OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.
Knowledge of CMM procedures for varying specialties and their impact on employee health and safety
Ability to establish and maintain effective working and collaborative relationships with medical leadership, senior leadership team, and department managers/supervisors
Ability to foster a patient-centered environment while maintaining employee health and safety
Ability to educate and facilitate with regard to necessary changes.
Ability to handle stressful situations.
Typical Physical Demands:
Work requires sitting for long periods of time; also stooping, bending and stretching for files and supplies. Occasionally lifting files or paper weighing up to 30 pounds.
Requires the use of office equipment, such as computer terminals, telephones and copiers.
Travel to various practice locations

Involves frequent contact with employee(s), provider(s), manager(s) and supervisor(s)
Work may be stressful at times, interaction with others is constant and interruptive
* Superior management and organizational skills including the ability to facilitate processes across the organization
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Self-starter with the ability to work independently
* PC proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Minimum of 5 years' experience in the clinical setting with 2-3 years of occupational health experience preferred.
