Adventurers wanted! The City of Wentzville is seeking a full time Wastewater Operator II.
Manages the daily operations of the city's wastewater treatment plant and collections systems. Performs checks, maintenance, preventative maintenance, and housekeeping for the plant. Safely removes bio-solids as regulated by the DNR and the EPA.

Education, experience and training that are required or desirable in order to effectively perform the job at the time of hire.  An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.  Additional requirements and/or substitutions may be requested and require the approval of HR.

  • High school diploma or equivalent desired.
  • Minimum of one year of experience with wastewater treatment or collection systems required.
  • Valid Class B CDL with airbrake and tanker endorsements within 120 days of employment required. A valid driver's license is required upon hire.
  • Certification Wastewater DNR Operator Class C within 120 days of employment required.
  • Wastewater Collections C License (MWEA) desired.
  • Chemical Spill Response Certification within 120 days of employment required; must refresh at least every three years.
