The Department of Urology currently has an outstanding opportunity for a RESEARCH SCIENTIST ENGINEER 1. The employee occupying this position will perform investigative research work in the Specific Pathogen Free (SPF) Animal Facility working with and caring for unique prostate cancer patient-derived xenografts growing in immuno-compromised mice, in the Genitourinary Cancer Research Laboratory in the Department of Urology. This position will perform routine scientific work, evaluating, selecting and applying standardized scientific procedures and techniques to assignments with clear, specific objectives. Duties and Responsibilities: Animal Surgery Support: Collection and Documentation of Data: In the SPF Animal Facility: Participation in our Tumor Acquisition Protocols: Minimum Requirements: Desired: Conditions of Employment: Shift Information: MONDAY-FRIDAY 8 hours per day during the period of 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. Disqualifications: Allergies to rodents.
