This position will provide administrative, clerical, and program development support to the Department of Innovative Teaching and Leadership. This role must maintain confidentiality at all times. The position will report to the department chair of Innovative Teaching and Leadership.

Specific duties & responsibilities:
Provide administrative support to the department chair and project subgroups
Understand the priorities and goals of teacher development project to accurately manage conflict-free electronic calendars for multiple meetings and manage frequent requests.
Schedule meetings, make appropriate arrangements for meetings, independently compile and prepare materials, confirm meeting details and assist with communication and other details as needed.
Provide wide range of administrative support to include: word processing, meeting preparation, and document organization
Perform a variety of both complex and routine duties such as creating letters, spreadsheets, reports and may assist in development of presentations
Fosters key internal and external partnerships across the institution (University, and the School of Education) to facilitate program initiatives and the mission the of the Division.
Support the implementation of program initiatives as directed by the Department Chair
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum qualifications (mandatory):
High School Diploma/GED.
Three years related experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
Three years progressively responsible administrative experience strongly preferred.
Special knowledge, skills, and abilities:
Must be highly organized.
Proficient use of electronic information systems such as the internet, email, and other electronic sources of information.
Proficient in the use of software applications including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Outlook
Ability to learn and use new programs and technologies to perform job tasks.
Act proactively and independently, exercise good judgment, think creatively to manage complex projects and be someone who can work with multiple interruptions and still stay on task.
Perform duties without direct supervision or guidance on a regular basis.
Communicate in a highly professional manner - clearly, appropriately, and effectively with all levels within the organization.
Possess excellent administrative and organizational skills.
Communicate with diverse groups and with professionalism and authority.
Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks
Ability to set and meet deadlines.
