Nitze School of Advanced International Studies of the Johns Hopkins University (SAIS) has been educating global leaders for more than 70 years. SAIS was founded to provide a practical approach to training students in international leadership and foreign relations, and to provide mid-career educational opportunities for those already working in related fields. Johns Hopkins SAIS enrolls 640 full-time students in Washington, D.C., primarily in the school's two-year Master of Arts program. Position: The Masters of Sustainable Energy (MASE) is a 21-month online degree for US and international students who would like more education and research training, beyond their undergraduate or graduate study, in the areas of energy, sustainability, and policy. The degree will have a distinct focus in a concentrated area and will provide experienced and aspiring practitioners in the field of sustainable energy the advance skills and knowledge needed to lead in the global community. Adjunct faculty appointments are renewed annually subject to approval by the Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs, the Assistant Dean for Faculty Affairs, and the Director/Administrative Director of the relevant program and are based on student demand, faculty evaluations and performance, and value of the course to the Johns Hopkins SAIS on-line curriculum.
