Responsibilities include the analysis, design, development, implementation, testing, and maintenance of information systems. Works directly with stakeholders in collecting new application integration requirements and resolving project issues. Functions independently with limited work direction. Assesses different technical options and recommends an approach.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage data analysis and data integration of disparate systems.
Build extensible integration solutions to meet project requirements.
Implement processes and logic to extract, transform, and distribute data across one or more data stores from a wide variety of sources.
Optimize data integration platform.
Upload data into appropriate databases in accurate and timely manner.
Develop and document the integration processes.
Develop quality standards to ensure data quality and integrity across various database systems.
Provide problem-solving expertise and complex analysis of data to develop business intelligence integration designs.
Develop data integration standards according to the organization's information services policies as well as best practices.
Work with Analysts and Business Users to translate functional specifications into technical designs for implementation and deployment.
Convert physical data integration models and other design specifications to source codes.
Ensure high quality and optimum performance of data integration systems in order to meet business solutions.
Follow company guidelines for programming and documentation.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
BA/BS Degree or equivalent experience, preferably in Computer Science plus 3 years of relevant experience.
Experience integrating data from disparate applications and data sources using multiple techniques and technologies.
Experience with SQL or Oracle databases and Windows Servers.
The ability to effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with all the following groups: project managers, application developers, DBAs, vendors, end users, and management
The ability to respond to requests issues and attend meetings during a typical workday.
The ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously, and to manage tight deadlines and situations where conflicting priorities arise.
After hours availability, troubleshooting, and support may be required.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Experience with an iPaaS solution such as Boomi, Jitterbit, MuleSoft, or SnapLogic.
A desire and the ability to obtain a manufacturer's certification for the iPaaS solution implemented at BNL.
Functional experience with an ERP system
Experience with C#, Web API templates
Experience with Azure API Management
Experience with DevOps practices in a medium sized organization
Prior work experience as an application developer or DBA. Knowledge of SOAP, REST, JSON, XML.
