Required Minimum Quals:
Bachelorâs or Associate's degree in nursing and 1 year of related experience. Current license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Iowa or ability to obtain before the start date.
Occupational medicine experience. Nursing experience in an adult ambulatory setting; office and/or emergency room. Experience with electronic medical records systems.
The Ames Laboratory, a Department of Energy national laboratory, operated through a contractual agreement with Iowa State University, is seeking candidates for a Staff Nurse position to provide appropriate professional nursing and occupational health care services, phlebotomy, immunizations, and special testing procedures to Ames Lab andÂ ISUÂ employees as directed by the staff physician or nursing supervisor.
The successful candidate will possess excellent written, verbal and computer communication skills, and the ability to work with a diverse clientele in providing nursing services. The ability to teach wellness concepts, communicate one-on-one effectively to explain medically related information, and use electronic medical records for documentation is important for success in this position.
