General Nature or purpose of the position:
The Senior Program Officer, Online Programs reporting to the Senior Director, is responsible for assisting with strategic operational oversight of all processes related to operating our distance education program portfolio. This position will serve as an advisor to the Senior Director to ensure effective planning and delivery of all operational aspects of our virtual programs including but not limited to reviewing and projecting student enrollment trends, reviewing and projecting staffing needs, managing reporting and analytics needs, reviewing and making recommendations related to the Online Programs session calendar, curriculum production, and planning for the most effective student and family support for escalated questions (tier 2 support).
This role will serve as an advocate for Academic Program Managers to understand their operational needs to effectively articulate them in the design and implementation of operational processes. Additionally, this role must be a strong partner to various roles across CTY including leaders in Enrollment Services, Marketing & Communications, Information Technology and Human Resources to communicate and define needs and ensure the operational components of the program account for various internal needs while providing the best experience for our students and families.

Program Efficiency, Demand Planning and Management
Act as a key driver of improved workplace efficiency and a beacon of continuous business process improvement
Review trends in enrollment to forecast and project future student volume and subsequently engage in proactive workforce planning. This includes identifying and projecting staffing needs
Work with Marketing to structure and plan marketing communications and department planning based on enrollment projections as well as strategic growth initiatives
Reporting and Analytics
Develop and distribute data to key stakeholders to help create an environment of data-driven decision-making. Consistently drive buy-in for data driven approach with various stakeholder audiences and key partners
Serve as key contributor with the Enrollment team to set the Online Programs session calendar with consideration for various operational impacts
Work with the Manager of Curriculum Production to ensure that courses are set for enrollments on session and individually paced schedules
Family and Student Support Management
Manage operational process to provide support for escalated inquiries from prospective and current students and families (tier 2 support).
Partner with Information Office and Enrollment Services to ensure a best in class support operation, make recommendations and implement enhancements as needed
Systems Planning and Management
Serve as the key contributor with various stakeholders in CTY Information Technology, Marketing and others to assist in the design of operational systems to support the family throughout the enrollment lifecycle with specific focus on proactively identifying and planning for operational impacts
Serve as a key stakeholder/SME for replacement and upgrades to CTY’s current IT systems underway now. This will be a key part of this role over the next two years in particular.

Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree preferred.
At least seven years professional work experience in student support or operational area in an educational setting
Additional education may be substituted for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula
JHU Equivalency Formula: 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
