This University Services position is charged with activities and operations related to the occupational health program within University Health & Safety's Biosafety and Occupational Health Department (UHS- BOHD), which are required to ensure an effective system-wide occupational health program at the University of Minnesota. UHS-BOHD has system-wide responsibility for protecting the health of all employees, students, volunteers, and visitors who participate in activities related to the University's mission of teaching, research, and service. The incumbent will serve as the primary occupational health liaison to University partners and will be responsible for solving a range of complex problems with minimal guidance and direction. They will direct the work of the Occupational Health Program Associate and supervise a student worker to ensure flawless implementation of surveillance, training, medical services, data entry, reporting and compliance programs. The position reports to the Director of the Biosafety & Occupational Health Department.
BA/BS degree plus at least six years of experience in a related field, such as Occupational Health, Environmental Health and Safety, Public Health, etc.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
