Experienced Medical Assistant needed for busy, rapidly growing Dermatology office. We are looking for a motivated, reliable person who can go above and beyond with our patients. Responsibilities include patient care, assisting with procedures, medical documentation, and all aspects of medical back office duties. Must be a team player with the ability to multi-task.
Assist patient to exam room.
Screen patient prior to doctor’s exam and document in EPIC
Prepare for patient procedures.
Effectively explain processes to patient
Maintain and operate equipment accordingly to safety and quality control regulations
Maintain inventory and supply ordering
Help monitor clinic flow
Stock exam rooms
Requires high school diploma or GED.
Completion/passing of an approved Certified Medical Assistant Exam.
Certification/Registration as a Medical Assistant (e.g. CMA, AAMA, RMA, AMT, NAHP) required. If not currently certified/registered, must become certified/registered within 90 days of date of hire.
Current CPR certification by the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross required at time of hire.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, independent worker.
Experience as a CMA, preferably in Dermatology.
Technical Qualifications or Specialized Certifications:
Must have current certification in CPR and certification as a Medical Assistant by an approved national examination agency.
Must maintain MA and CPR certification/registration during duration of employment in this position.
