We are currently seeking a motivated, energetic, and independent individual to coordinate and operationalize quality improvement and clinical safety efforts across the Division of Infectious Diseases outpatient practice sites. Responsibilities include coordinating and supporting the development of a Physician Dashboard aimed at improving patient safety and the implementation of the Maryland Primary Care Program within the John G. Bartlett Specialty Practice. The Coordinator performs all activities necessary to resolve administrative problems, prioritization of workload across existing staff, and coordination of projects and programs. This position serves as a resource within a team environment, and must be people-oriented and willing to independently approach and engage stakeholders. We seek an individual who is keenly interested in project management, quality improvement, and health systems delivery.
Coordinates tasks, committees, presentations, and projects related to clinical safety and quality improvement.
Develops and helps to execute project plans and timelines.
Applies analytical and project management skills to assist with the development of the physician dashboard within the Electronic Health Record system.
Collaborate with ID faculty to leverage available metrics to inform clinical practice and improve quality and patient safety metrics (Patient Acuity/HCC Risk Adjustment, Transitional Care Management, and Primary Care measures).
Networks within Johns Hopkins and throughout the community to develop and maintain strong working relationships.
Serves as a resource and cooperates with ID outpatient leadership and staff to ensure practice sites are fulling Maryland Primary Care Program requirements and reporting obligation.
High school diploma/GED required.
Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative experience.
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) may substitute for one year of related experience. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of data management, spreadsheets, and/or word processing essential.
Aptitude for learning software programs.
Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
