The Respirator Mask Fit Tech will provide basic services related to respirator mask fittings for the employees of Cook Children’s Health Care System (CCHCS). The Respirator Mask Fit Tech will be required to drive to any of the Cook Children’s locations to set up and administer the testing/training of respiratory protection masks to ensure the staff have the proper fit and mask size. Additional responsibilities include but are not limited to; provide respirator questionnaires, obtain appropriate documentation and participate in other tasks related to Occupational Health Services.
High School Diploma or GED
Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant, EMT-P, LVN or similar with the related license/certification is required
Valid and clear Texas driver’s license and insurance is required
Knowledge of Clinical and Medical terminology
Must be available to independently work various shifts and locations to cover a 24 hour workforce
Must be able to drive/travel to CCHCS locations for work
Basic computer skills, a positive attitude and good customer service skills is needed
Knowledge of OSHA 1910.134 – Respiratory Protection, preferred
