This position is for a research program assistant who will conduct recruitment, assist with data entry, conduct data management and produce data reports for study team. Last, the research assistant will also assist the Sr. Research Coordinator in other study tasks such as enrolling patients in the CRMS system, reconciling the petty cash account, data abstraction from electronic medical records with use of EPIC.
Specific duties & responsibilities:
Prepare completed test materials for data entry, and enter information into database and complete data entry on a weekly basis
Help recruit participants, conduct telephone screens of potential participants, send mailingsand schedule participant appointments
Coordinate preparation of any required charts for participant visits
Assist with office coordination, answering phones, make participant appointments for follow-up including scheduling scans, greet and assist research volunteers and process reimbursement of volunteers for their time
Contact participants as necessary to remind them of their appointments.
Assist with organization of the data as well as data quality control
Interviewing study participants for eligibility
Review all participant documents for completeness
Maintain a good working knowledge of all study protocols
Use various software applications such as spreadsheets and word processing
Maintain compliance with HIPAA and IRB regulations and assist with IRB submissions
Maintains current certification in all applicable JHU required training classes
Attend mandatory meetings and trainings
Maintain a good knowledge and adequate training in “dangerous goods” shipping and the handling of biohazardous material
Log and track all biosamples, encounters and incentives in databases and participant charts
Minimum qualifications (mandatory):
High School Diploma/GED.

Must be able to work independently as well as function as part of a team
Must perform detailed tasks accurately and efficiently.
Experience collecting research data a plus.
