The Sr. Research Program Coordinator will assist with the conduct of a two-year longitudinal COVID-19 study in Baltimore City. The Sr. Research Program Coordinator, under the guidance of his/her supervisor, will assume primary day-to-day coordination responsibilities for a household cohort study in Baltimore, MD. This will include recruitment, enrollment and follow-up of ~1300 families in Baltimore city and will include some on-site requirements.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Assist and be in constant communication with the senior research program managerregarding all study responsibilities
Keep study documents organized and up to date
Assist in drafting Standard Operating Procedures
Revise and maintain Standard Operating Procedures
Assist in creating training materials and interviewer guides
Assist Supervisor in hiring of additional study staff
Ensure staff have completed required human subjects training
Preform quality assurance and quality control checks on study documents including consent documents, laboratory forms, etc.
Oversee and manage mailing schedule
Oversee and manage participant tracking
Oversee and manage reimbursement scheduling and disbursement
Conduct meetings with Interviewers and Research Assistants on a weekly basis
Oversee the day-to-day activities of interviewers and research assistants and provide technical assistance/troubleshooting
Train new staff throughout the duration of the study
Provide data checks as needed at the request of data managers
Conduct ongoing on-site field monitoring of study offices and laboratory sites.

Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required. 3 years related experience required. Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.
JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
Experience in consenting patients, conducting medical interviews, data entry in REDCap, and working on longitudinal studies is preferred.
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Proficiency in the use of software applications, databases, spreadsheets, and word processing required. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required. Knowledge of clinical research practices and principles required. Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Excellent team management, verbal and written communication and organizational skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access. Must have the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks. Detail oriented.
