Capital Health is seeking an Employee Health Nurse join our team in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.
Functions as a professional nurse applying theoretical knowledge to the case management of workers' compensation cases.
Communicates and coordinates case management activity with injured worker and appropriate individuals, including supervisor/manager, human resources business partners, third-party administrator, physician, etc.
Collaborates with Employee Health and Safety team to implement and coordinate injury-prevention programs, ergonomics, respirator protection program, annual influenza campaign and the Safety Committees.
Recognizes, educates and advises workers on identifying, reducing and eliminating health and safety risks in the work environment. Addresses any potentially unsafe equipment or procedures.
Conducts assessment of work and non-work-related injuries/illnesses and coordinates appropriate treatment and referral.
Assesses immunization status of staff to prevent the spread of communicable diseases. Provides education about preventing exposure to communicable diseases, as well as post-exposure evaluation and surveillance for employees exposed to potentially infectious diseases.
Promotes a culture of health by educating and administering testing, evaluations, safety rounds and screenings that support employee health, safety and well-being programs.
Evaluates information and data to continually assess current state. Engages with key stakeholders to problem solve and effectively manage change for optimal employee health, safety and well-being.
Participates in committees and process improvements to contribute employee health subject matter expertise. Develops and presents employee health, safety and well-being data to leadership.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN).
NJ RN license.
Five years of clinical nursing experience with a minimum three years of workers’ compensation, case management, occupational health or infection control experience.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to develop rapport and maintain positive relationships with a variety of staff and physicians.
Good organizational, prioritization and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
