The Research Data Coordinator works with faculty and staff in the Division of Infectious Diseases, supporting a COVID-19 ambulatory patient study and online test kit ordering program. The Research Data Coordinator’s primary responsibilities will be preparing test kits for enrolled participants, arranging for the shipment of the kits, and assisting with database management and data analysis. Additional work may include assisting with the program’s website maintenance and with program communication.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Fulfill incoming orders for test kits in an accurate and timely manner.
Communicate in a confidential manner with individuals who are receiving the test kits, as necessary.
Communicate with sponsors of the program when necessary.
Ensure the study databases are current and accurate. Perform data cleaning as needed.
Assist in analyzing and reporting data as requested by sponsors and JHU investigators.
Serve as a resident expert on the program website and assist in maintaining and modifying the site as needed.
Assist in creating protocols as needed.
Monitor and maintain the inventory of supplies needed to fill study participant orders.
Coordinate other studies and projects as assigned.
Bachelor’s degree in related discipline required
Research experience helpful
Some statistical analysis experience helpful
Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word required
Ability to program in Stata and/or R preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent attention to detail
