Research Program Assistant needed to work across two research studies. Both studies examine romantic relationships among adolescents and young adults in Baltimore. Along with other members of the study team, the research assistant will oversee day-to-day data collection for research studies, in support of a PI, postdoc, research or administrative staff. Work will be conducted in community-based sites to recruit young people into the studies), administer surveys, and facilitate focus groups.Work consists of running and writing both standard and non-standard reports and analyzing routine data.
Research activities with individual participants are expected to take about 2 hours per person. The research assistant will also assist the study coordinator with administrative duties as assigned in addition to attending team meetings.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Schedule appointments with eligible participants
Perform informed consent and standardized surveys with persons at community-based sites.
Co-facilitate focus group meetings with participants
Follow all study IRB approved protocols and procedures
Attend team meetings
Communicate with Study Coordinator and Principal Investigator about all schedule changes and study related issues.
Other research related activities as assigned by study coordinator and/or PI.
Minimum Qualifications (Required)
High School Diploma/GED.
Some related experience.
Some college courses preferred.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) fluency
Additional education may substitute for required experience, to the extent permitted by the JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job. *
Bachelor's degree in related discipline or some college courses preferred.
Prefer some related coursework or administrative experience.
