Seeking to accelerate our vision to be the exemplar catalyst for innovation and advancement of the profession of public health, locally and globally, the University of South Florida College of Public Health invites applications for a tenure earning faculty position at the rank of Associate or Full Professor in Public Health who will serve as the Director of the Center for Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness.
This is a special opportunity for an advanced academician or senior practice professional to join a dynamic faculty actively engaged in shaping the future of public health through innovative curricula, transformational research and community partnerships designed to create positive collective impact on health. We seek an individual with leadership experience in the area of occupational health, safety and wellness who can understand the College vision for bringing three established centers/programs into a comprehensive unit, The Center for Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness, focusing on Total Worker Health®. The Center for Occupational Health, Safety and Wellness will serve as the umbrella for the NIOSH-supported Sunshine Education and Research Center, the USF SafetyFlorida (OHA 21d consultation program), and the USF OTI Education Center (OSHA worker training program). In the leadership position, the Director will be expected to ensure the continued extramural support of these entities and lead the integration of research, education, consulting services, and worker training into all three.
