Johns Hopkins University is seeking an experienced manager to lead the Project and Change Management team in the Office of Advancement Services. The position requires that the PMO\CMO Director wear multiple hats and have a proven ability to fill the role of Change Manager, Project Manager and Product Manager as needed.
Johns Hopkins has initiated a CRM implementation project to replace their existing alumni\prospect database. The current database has 300 users, and three million constituents. The PMO\CMO Director will lead the execution of this project which will include a number of concurrent project work-streams and an extensive change management effort. In addition to providing project and change management services for the project, the Director of the PMO\CMO will help to define the overall technology blueprint for the CRM implementation as well as the technology roadmap for Development and Alumni Relations.
The PMO\CMO Director will lead strategic planning and tactical execution of IT applications used to support Development and Alumni Initiatives at Johns Hopkins University and Medicine. Applications include, but are not limited to, the gift e-commence platform, alumni engagement software, analytic and financial reporting tools and the alumni\prospect database.
Responsible for the project management of a multi-year, multi-million-dollar, CRM implementation project
Implement and manage a cohesive methodology for change management
Manage a complex multi-project portfolio that spans the scope of work done by Development and Alumni Relations
Work with leadership to define, develop and prioritize technology projects
Responsible for the complete project life cycle from initiation through implementation
Responsible for all aspects of project and program engagement from planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
Oversee project and program expectations while delegating and managing deliverables with team members and stakeholders
Manage a staff of three and provide performance reviews and annual goals
Provide leadership for the Development and Alumni Relations technology roadmap
Support the design, delivery and management of project communications
Assess the readiness of change by conducting an impact analysis and identifying key stakeholders
Lead the design and delivery of training programs
Creates and maintains relationships with strategic technology vendors for the organization and adheres to contractual obligations.
Ensures continuous delivery of information technology support and services.
Bachelor’s degree and eight years of IT or related experience, including 3 years of managerial experience, is required.
A minimum of ten years of experience in project management preferred.
A minimum of six years of organizational change management experience preferred.
A minimum of six years of related management experience preferred.
Ability to implement short- and long-term goals while managing multiple projects, tasks, and deadlines
Excellent oral and written communication skills demonstrated by; concise and persuasive writing, public speaking, and private discourse
Ability to manage budgets and negotiate with vendors on contract renewals, etc.
Extensive experience in SDLC Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, SDLC / Waterfall
Able to negotiate shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to foster a collaborative, customer-oriented working environment
Master’s degree in Fundraising, Engineering, Business or related experience
Experience with data import/export methodologies and with writing stored procedures for SQL Server, and a working knowledge of database management strongly desired
Experience implementing CRM’s
Experience with DevOps
Experience with Advancement or Higher Education
