Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) plays a vital role in supporting that mission through the implementation of programs that continuously strive to exceed and set industry standards as well as enhance the safety culture. EHS is responsible for enterprise-wide environmental health and safety services, including Fire and Life Safety, Emergency Management, Construction Safety, Hazardous Material and Waste Management, Laboratory Safety, Occupational Safety, Healthcare Safety, Environmental Compliance and Ergonomics. MSK is seeking a proven professional who can be part of a dynamic and growing organization. The Administrative Assistant in Environmental Health and Safety will provide administrative and clerical support to the Department. Under supervision, processes assigned tasks within projected timeline, schedules meetings and distributes information, maintains and organizes department website, utilizes office automation to create memos, reports and business correspondence. The Administrative Assistant also has excellent writing and editing skills for creating, reviewing and editing departmental policies and procedures.He/ She will maintain departmental files and help in the overall workflow within the Department.

Prepare, proof read and process documents for approval and/or distribution utilizing office automation (Microsoft Office Suite Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Create, manage and maintains neat, organized, accurate and up to date filing systems.
Track and process EHS Department expenses, budgets, purchase orders, and invoices.
Assist with scheduling travel, meetings and other delegated tasks.
Set up and maintain the EHS website and creatively organize the appropriate website content provided by EHS Department subject matter experts.
Perform various clerical duties to contribute to the smooth operations of the EHS Office.
Provide clerical support to Vice Presidents office.
Manage calendars and schedule meetings as assigned.
Assists on special projects to complete such tasks typing, copying and distributing correspondence/paperwork, and filing.
Work: Monday-Friday; 9:00am-5:00pm
High School Diploma required, Bachelors degree preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
Ability to multitask in a high volume office
Must be able to work independently
