The San Diego County Regional Airport Authority (SDCRAA) is seeking an individual for a Safety Analyst I role. The position is a partner on employee safety, risk management programs, and day-to-day operations. The position is responsible for, among other duties: assisting and/or leading with the development, implementation and administration of a variety of employee safety programs; developing and conducting various safety training programs; and advising management on a full range of safety and health issues. An ideal candidate will possess a four-year college degree and at least two years of experience in occupational health and safety programs, including conducting employee accident or safety investigations or designing and conducting employee safety training programs. Required Education, Training and Experience:
Graduation from a four-year college or university in occupational health studies, environmental studies, industrial health or a closely related field; and
Two years of experience developing and administering occupational health and safety programs;
Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) Outreach Training Certificate – General Industry and/or Construction;
Associate or Certified Safety Professional Certification with the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP);
OSHA Hazard Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) Certification; and/or
A safety professional certification (general industry and/or construction) from an accredited program.
Process Knowledge – Understanding of current local, state and federal regulations as well of industry principles, practices and techniques; monitors processes and develops framework for implementation and improvement.
