We have an opening for an Occupational Health Services Specialist to work with our Primary Care & Occupational Health Clinic located in Chandler, AZ! Summary: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) will work Monday – Friday from 7:30am-4:30pm. Essential Functions: Have a clear and comprehensive understanding of the role of the occupational health nurse. Train all new occupational health nurses and assist with any new training as needed Serve as a “super user” of the client EHR system Perform daily quality assurance audits of the occupational health cases that have been entered into the client EHR Identify errors in the data entry of cases and contact occupational health nurses directly to assist with correction and resolution of the errors. Emphasis will be on training processes and procedures Provide tip sheets and training materials to occupational health nurses to assist with occupational health concepts and management of cases ensuring accurate documentation standards are met Respond to all client Action Plans (AP) timely Communicate daily chart audits with direct supervisor and identify trends and training needs immediately Participates in Quality Improvement action planning to improve overall quality and documentation for occupational health nurses Performs occupational health nurse duties onsite Maintains patient privacy and confidential patient information. May require other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications Education: Certificate from an accredited Nursing School or Associates’ degree (A.S.) is required. Bachelor's degree (BSN) from four-year college or university is preferred. Currently licensed Registered Nurse in state of practice required Current training in AHA or ARC Basic Life Support for health care providers is required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support may also be required based on contract scope of services. Certification in Occupational Health Nursing, Certification in Emergency Nursing, or Certificate in Case Management preferred. Experience: At least three years experience as a Registered Nurse in an emergency room, occupational health clinic or other ambulatory care clinic. Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of Internet software, Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. Knowledge and experience with Electronic Medical Records preferred. Knowledge of workplace health and safety concepts and OSHA regulations preferred.
