Formula for Success: You Will...
Assist Loadout operator with all outside duties associated with all loadout system, blenders, clay unloading systems, connecting railcars, backing trucks into position to load and unload, making minor repair to equipment and any other work associated with the Loadout / Clay unloading operation including help trouble shooting equipment. Work as a team with the inside operator to accomplish these tasks.
Responsibility and accountability include, but is not limited to:
* Complete safety shift inspection check list and shift notes aka Shift Transition Sheet. * Must be able to access SDS forms and EHS procedures on the computer. * Maintain a safe and clean work environment in all areas of accountability.
* Routinely participate in area housekeeping audits with Team Leader or member of Management. * Must be able to follow all written and verbal instructions and work unsupervised to task completion. * Direct drivers of trucks to proper loading area at proper time. * Preform any duties as required by assigned Plant Coordinator or member of Management. * Must show ability to safely operate, maintain, perform minor repairs and make proper adjustments on associated equipment in work area. * Must show ability to read, write, count and perform accurate arithmetic calculation using addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. * Must be able to pass and maintain respirator fit test. * Direct drivers of trucks to proper loading area at proper time. * Send e-mail notification on any repair needed to the Plant Coordinator, Production Specialist and all operators in the area. * Follow direction from Blend Coordinator Notes and interact with Blend Coordinator as needed. * Must attend and pass the mandatory DOT Hazmat training when scheduled. * Must maintain State of Georgia Public Weigher Certification, * Understand, monitor and operate within process safety operational guidelines and report process safety incidents. Complete process safety training as required by company. * Demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot, isolate and write Safe Work Permits on all systems * Assist with scheduling and directing truck drivers from staging area, truck stops using telephone, plant radio and mobile equipment to talk to drivers, including properly spotting trucks per procedure. * Perform inspection, retrieving and delivering paperwork to needed destinations Assist with processing, completing and maintaining all associated paperwork and computer work with Loadout, receiving and shipping. * Communicate and interact with Security Guard to stage or spot any incoming truck and any issues pertaining to the Logistics area. * Load out bulk trucks at designated load out stations, including pre and post inspections of trucks and railcars. * Connect all trucks and railcar for unloading and loading to blenders, bins and silos and serve as the primary person to operate rail switch at the rail tracks (using other qualified BASF employees to assist). * Work with any member of the Logistics/MBC/Rare Earth team and the railroad to spot railcars at any location in the plant. * Must be able to pass the Rail Car Switching Equipment Mobile training and safely operate the Rail Car switching equipment. * Perform all sampling needed in the Loadout / Clay Unloading process. * Change blanks where needed for the Loadout / Clay Unloader process and verification of silo destinations, identifying and repairing system leaks (or properly communicate needed repairs to the Plant Coordinator, Production Specialist and Logistics Manager. * Work as a team with the inside operator to set priorities on the work load and to accomplish work load as scheduled. Collaborate with Plant Coordinator if needed to set priorities. * Must demonstrate the ability to safely operate the "yard dog" vehicle, mostly Export Container / Carriage systems. * Accurately scale loads empty and loaded, doing the math to determine the loaded weight. * Scale in and out "long" over the road trucks. * Must demonstrate the ability to Hook up and Drop Export Shipping Containers. * Must demonstrate the ability to safely and efficiently position Export Shipping Containers at: Export shipping dock, Blender load out stations and Staging area. * Must be able to pass the fork truck training and safely operate a fork truck. * Must be able to read and understand shipping authorization instructions. * Must be able to determine the correct type of Seabulk liner needed by checking the Shipping Authorization. * Must be able to build and install seabulk liners. * Must be able to properly stage and load seabulks. * Must be able to properly fill, stencil and store super sacks for shipments. * Must be able to complete proper receiving paperwork on all inbound packaging, supplies and materials. * Must be able to insure quantities of material being received and match against the receiving invoice. * Must be able to properly label and store materials. * Must be able to complete inspection and receiving paperwork for returning tote bins. * Must be able to properly receive, inspect and store returned tote bins.
