Three SRA I positions are available in the laboratories of Principal Investigators of the Center for Occupational and Environmental Health. The incumbents will serve as technicians in support of a Principal Investigator whose research focuses on the pathogenesis and detection of cardiopulmonary and neurological deficits induced by exposures to environmental toxins or a Principal Investigator whose research focuses on the mechanisms by which exposures to environmental toxins disrupt ovarian function and cause premature ovarian aging and ovarian cancer. Under supervision will perform cell/tissue culture, maintenance of breeding colonies of transgenic mice, inhalation exposures and tissue harvesting. Will assist with routine laboratory maintenance and will ensure compliance with UCI safety regulations. Will document experiments and results in well-organized notebooks. Will assume responsibilities for lab purchasing and maintenance issues.
