We have an exciting opportunity at our World Headquarters for a Product Stewardship Specialist. The responsibilities of this role include the following:
Researching and assessing regulatory constraints of products based on composition;
Monitoring regulatory developments, interpreting relevant regulations, assessing the impact on DAP, and implementing compliance strategies as needed;
Communicating regulations and compliance policies;
Researching and advising of health risks associated with the use of DAP products;
Providing technical information and advice on specific product safety and compliance issues;
Developing and working with exposure assessment models;
Providing advice to customers with respect to accidental overexposure;
Development, implementation, maintenance and enhancement of departmental records and databases.
Developing programs to ensure DAP products meet all regulatory health and safety requirements (including hands-on drafting and review of product labeling hazards and finished goods Safety Data Sheets and transportation compliance)
Bachelor of Science in related field, such as Biology, Toxicology, Chemistry, Occupational Safety and Health, or Environmental Science;
At least 3 years of demonstrated experience in a product stewardship role, with working knowledge of the chemicals of the industry;
Thorough knowledge and in-depth understanding of regulatory principles and guidelines;
Strong problem analysis and problem-solving skills;
Proven ability to interpret regulatory documents;
Sound sense of urgency for high priority projects;
Strong verbal and written communication and research skills;
Ability to travel approximately 20%.
