Regional Sales Manager - Parking Garage and Sport Stadium Construction Sector (1901761) - California (West Coast)
Where the Chemistry Happens
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for achieving assigned territory sales and profitability plan and maintaining WBAC leading sector position through execution of assigned business development strategy actions. This includes, but is not limited to, timely and accurate reporting of sales objectives, sales forecasting, sales planning, executing strategic initiatives, developing/maintaining account and business relationships, managing pre-planning and post order accounts and order closing fulfillment. This role will interface daily with buying customers, manage third-party Independent Manufacturer Sales Representatives and Factory Trained Applicators, and coordinate with WBAC Sales Management leadership. The scope of this position is regional with a targeted focus on expansion control systems for parking garage rehabilitation, new construction and sport stadium and arena applications.
Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success
Bachelor's degree in Construction or Engineering from an accredited college or university and relevant professional work experience.
Proven market influence and demonstrated technical capabilities to provide product recommendations to consulting engineers and owners through presentations and written proposals.
A thorough understanding of contract documents, with ability to independently act and respond to commercial and technical inquiries. Technical and commercial competence to be viewed as a trusted advisor to buying customers, consultants, and owners.
Time management and relationship building skills to lead and motivate third party contractors and vendors to serve as professional sales agents of the wabo(r) brand.
Educate and enhance the WBAC value proposition as well as BASF as a total solutions provider.
Perform a comprehensive analysis of the territory and participate in development of a sales territory strategy and operating plan with WBAC Sales Management.
Identify and research prospective buying customers through networking, online research, and similar means. Develop and implement plans for introduction to and relationship development with identified potential customers.
Assist Marketing by providing voice of customer and competitive market information.
Develop and maintain relationships and presence with design professionals to maximize specification presence as basis of design.
Support and adhere to all environmental, health and safety rules and regulations as described in the Environmental Health and Safety Rules and Regulations Employee Handbook as well as WBAC specific safety guidelines and procedures. Make "safety" a way of life and always a part of your individual actions.
Complete all work in conformance with Company and Department ISO 9001 policies, procedures, and work instructions.
Provide quality leadership for internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding values at all times: inclusive of constructive problem solving, facilitating creative improvements, and inspiring others.
