Posting Summary: Direct management staff in the maintenance of physical facilities, support services, facilities strategic assessment and planning, physical plant asset management, and environmental health and safety. Manage and provide leadership for the facilities management functions of the university, including facilities strategic planning, maintenance, capital planning and construction and contract administration. Develop and implement programs and schedules for maintenance, equipment replacement, energy conservation and support services. Direct the supervision of key management staff and other essential personnel involved in operational and administrative responsibilities. Develop, implement and assess the department's goals, policies, and procedures to ensure alignment with university's plans. Provide training opportunities for the development of staff. Prepare yearly budget and continually monitor expenditures, cost savings and control departmental expenses. Advise, discuss, and inform senior level university officials, deans, department heads, staff and other university personnel on plant matters, problem areas, and general consultation. Supervise office, recordkeeping, and personnel matters, including making recommendations concerning the hiring, promotion, and termination of plant staff. Supervise university-wide safety and environmental compliance. Review and draft related university policies and procedures. Performs other assigned duties.
