Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Advanced Practice Nurse for the Department of Medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School.
Among the key duties include the following:
Provides preventative health services to both employee health patients and general internal medicine patients.
Provides education to meet the needs of the patient.
Collaborates and consults with physicians and other specialists as necessary concerning patient care.
Participates in the review and development of appropriate employee health policies and processes.
Keeps abreast of ambulatory care, employee health, and departmental policies and procedures
Minimum Education and Experience:
Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing with a minimum of a Master's Degree.
Registered as a Professional Nurse in the State of New Jersey.
Certified as an Advanced Practice Nurse with prescriptive authority by the New Jersey Board of Nursing.
A minimum of two (2) years of Nursing experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Certified Occupational Health Nurse.
Experience in an ambulatory setting and/or Occupational Medicine.
At least one (1) year of experience with electronic medical records.
Experience with Microsoft Office.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 25lbs.
