The Pharmacy department at Children’s Minnesota is staffed by registered pharmacists and certified pharmacy technicians with specialized training in pediatric pharmacy. Our pharmacists perform daily rounds with providers and are essential partners in providing state of the art pediatric comprehensive medication management services, pharmacy automation, IV production and compounding services. Children's pharmacists provide medication education, consultation, specialized drug information services, as well as participate in educational and outreach programs. Other services provided include 24-hour inpatient operations partnered with 16-hour decentral coverage. Our inpatient decentral team offers trained subspecialists in neonatal, pediatric and cardiovascular critical care, including cardiac transplant, pediatric medicine, oncology, neuroscience, emergency medicine, including Level I trauma services, and research.
Our pharmacists are also essential partners in the ambulatory setting, providing pediatric pharmacy services for home infusion, retail pharmacy, oncology clinic/infusion center, hemophilia treatment center, as well as medication therapy management (MTM) within our primary and specialty care clinics. We are committed to training the next generation of pediatric pharmacy professionals through mentoring of pharmacy students and post-doctoral training in our robust residency program which includes PGY-1s and PGY-2s in Pediatrics and Pharmacogenomics.
The 340B program coordinator provides oversight for the 340B program and will be responsible for coordinating the 340B drug program across Children's Minnesota. This work will include program coordination, compliance, data analysis or purchases, and cross functional partnerships to ensure program success and viability.
* MN Pharmacy Technician registration and certification (CPhT) within one year of hire. * Apexus Advanced 340B Operations Certificate (340B ACE) preferred
Education: * Associates of Science/Arts preferred
Required Experience: * General knowledge of 340B operations and/or pharmacy purchasing experience/supply chain management background * Experience working in a health-system * Experience with data analysis and reporting
Preferred Experience: * Experience with 340B operations, 340B compliance and analytics * Working with 340B Prime Vendor Program (Apexus) * Experience working with 340B split billing software systems * Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR)
