The Environmental Health & Safety Director is responsible for direction and oversight of the Corporate Safety Program. This position will develop and provide guidance in the implementation of Enfield Enterprises, Inc. (EEI) safety programs, policies, rules and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements. The position works with business line personnel and executive leadership to develop and implement local, divisional and system-level safety related initiatives to reduce / eliminate injuries and accidents, and provides technical guidance and support to reduce hazards and risk in the workplace. This role will report to the Vice President of Operations and will have oversight and training responsibilities of office and administrative personnel, as well as construction management and field personnel.
Preferred Competencies & Certifications:
5+ years’ experience in a management role with direct responsibility for developing and managing an organizations EHS program
Public sector experience in an industrial construction setting
Thorough knowledge of regulatory requirements relating to OSHA, EPA and NFPA regulations and codes
Sound judgment and ethics
Excellent written and verbal communications skills and an ability to develop rapport and credibility across the organization
Ability to promote ideas and proposals politely and persuasively
Current certification as OSHA Authorized Construction Outreach Trainer
DOE L-Level Security Clearance or the ability to obtain within 12 months
Additional Salary Information: This position is flexible to accepting developmental candidates seeking to expand professional competencies and certifications. Developmental range $55,000 to $75,000 per annum; Professional range $75,000 to $95,000 per annum.
