The instructor is responsible to the Department Chair and the Dean of the Division for carrying out his/her assigned instructional tasks. The instructor shall perform such other duties as assigned by the Department Chairman when approved by the Dean of the BATI Division.
Provide instruction in classes in water treatment, wastewater treatment, water laboratory practices, and wastewater laboratory practices.
Interact with professional organizations to develop and maintain cooperative atmosphere.
Interact with representatives of the water and wastewater treatment industry to coordinate technical expertise and employment opportunities for program students.
Work in alignment with the college’s strategic goals, values, core themes, and vision.
Communicate effectively and respectfully with individuals of all cultures, backgrounds, perspectives and abilities.
Associate of Science Degree in Water/Wastewater or a related technical field, plus Journeyman status in Water/Wastewater as demonstrated by Operator Certification of Level III is required.
Additional Salary Information: Starting faculty salary range for 2017-18 is $53,887-$61,837 for a 1.0 FTE, 168-day contract. New faculty will be contracted for 168-day contract plus additional 3 days to attend Fall Term Instructional Strategies Institute training. Excellent benefit package.
