$12.10-$13.61/hr., DOQ; 10 hour days, 40 hours a week
This position involves operating a water treatment plant and maintaining associated water production facilities. The operator prepares recurring reports and records along with remedial analysis. Decisions made require interpretation and judgment. Position requires a strong sense of urgency and the ability to comply with established safety procedures and policies. All operators are responsible for maintaining their certifications. Other assigned duties as required. Must have a high school diploma or GED as it is required for certification by the State of Texas TCEQ. One year of experience in a related field is preferred. Must possess a minimum Class “D” Water certification from TCEQ within one year of employment and must upgrade to a “C” Surface Water License certification within two years from date of employment. A valid Texas driver’s license is required and must live within a thirty minute travel response time. Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
