To develop, modify, apply, and maintain quality standards and evaluation methods for processes related to the Utility Department Operations, including the Wastewater Treatment Plant, Water Treatment Plant, Dewatering Facility, lift stations, booster stations, water distribution and wastewater collection systems, well fields, and reclaimed water facilities. The work provides diverse and complex research, analysis and reporting for quality assurance by determining and applying preventative and predictive maintenance and performance criteria. Responsible for performing technical evaluations, analysis, and related data acquisition processes to ensure quality objectives are achieved including fundamental cause analysis and performance trends. Responsible for the development, implementation and refinement of emergency/disaster preparedness and response activities.
Bachelor Degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil and/or environmental engineering or a related field.
Ten (10) years engineering experience, preferably related to Utility projects; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that would provide the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities.
Licensed as a Professional Engineer by the Florida Department of Professional Regulation within six (6) months of employment is required.
Possession of, or ability to obtain, within one year of employment, certifications of training for ICS-100, ICS-200, ICS-300, ICS-400, IS-700 and IS-800
Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State Florida Driver's License.
