Professional Development Program – Accounting, Economics, & Finance, Class of 2019
BASF's Professional Development Programs (PDPs) were created to provide highly motivated, mobile-minded current university students an opportunity to enhance their professional skills through a variety of diverse learning experiences. Participants will contribute to real-world rotational assignments within different domestic locations. They will explore career options and develop technical and professional decision-making skills, while fulfilling specific business needs. Participants also have the opportunity to assess their capabilities, skills, and interests and gain valuable exposure to BASF's culture, values, and decision-makers.

APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE TO STUDENTS RECEIVING BACHELOR IN FINANCE, ECONOMICS AND ACCOUNTING WITH 150 CREDITS OR MASTER'S IN ACCOUNTING BETWEEN DECEMBER 2018 AND AUGUST 2019.
33-month cross functional program with rotations varying in length from 3 and 6 months
Rotations will lead to exposure in areas of Corporate Finance & Accounting, Internal Audit, Financial Planning and Analysis roles within Business, Regional & Functional Units (Procurement, Human Resources, EHS etc.), and Manufacturing Site Accounting and Analysis
This program also includes an assignment in the Americas Shared Service Center in Montevideo, Uruguay, as well as the possibility of an international swap assignment
Assignments can be located in a variety of locations throughout the U.S.
Potential start dates are March, July, and September of 2019

Upon successful completion of the program, participants may be offered a position within Corporate Accounting, Internal Audit, Site Accounting, Controlling, or Finance
One-time cash recognition to individuals who have accepted a letter of employment from BASF and have successfully completed, prior to starting with BASF, at least 75% of their CPA or CMA examination (with the expectation that the remaining section be completed within one year of employment)

Qualifications - BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Formula for Success:
Upcoming graduates receiving their Bachelor's with 150 credits (B.S/B.A), or Master's in Accounting, Finance, or Economics (graduating between December 2018-August 2019)
Successful completion of Intermediate Accounting II
Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
Active participation in extracurricular activities and on-campus organizations
