Full Time; Career Starting Salary Range: $200,000 - $240,000 / Annually. Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.

UCSC Student Health Services (SHS) is a full service medical facility offering a complex integration of primary care medical services, counseling and psychiatric services, ancillary and support services designed to ensure that medical illness and behavioral health disorders are prevented, diagnosed, treated and/or managed with maximum safety, accuracy, and efficiency.
Student Health Services includes a primary care clinic, same day clinic, counseling, psychiatry, high complexity laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, optometry and billing and insurance as well as other administrative functions. UCSC SHS manages the health care needs of approximately 200 patients per day, is supported by an operating budget greater than 15 million dollars, and provides service to over 19,000 undergraduate and graduate students. Student Health Services also encompasses SHOP, the Student Health Education, and Outreach Program and CARE: Advocate Office for Sexual and Gender-Based Violence and Sexual Misconduct, the confidential advocacy support for survivors of sexual assault, relationship violence and stalking.
UCSC Student Health Services is required to comply with mandates and standards from several entities including operational mandates from the UC Office of the President (UCOP) for system-wide compliance required of Student Health Centers; AAAHC (Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care) standards mandated to maintain AAAHC Accreditation; Regulatory agencies such as OSHA, Department of Public Health, several professional licensing boards, Federal and State law; the American Psychological Association (APA) ; UCSC Environmental Health and Safety and UCSC Campus policies and procedures.

Graduation from a class A accredited school of medicine with the degree of Medical Doctor (MD) or Graduation from a class A accredited school of osteopathy with the degree of Doctor of Osteopathy (DO)
Must be Licensed MD or DO in State of California in good standing
Current valid federal controlled substance registration (DEA certificate)
Must be Board Certified in Primary Care Specialty: Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Emergency Medicine
ACLS Certified or the ability to become ACLS certified within 6 months of hire (unit will sponsor such training)
Will be required to pass a pre hire criminal history background check and a pre hire credentialing check;
Will be required to complete HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accessibility) training within 30 days of hire;
Will need to possess or obtain a Cardiopulmonary (CPR) certificate within 90 days of hire;
Will be required to comply with Title IX training and renewal as directed.
Will be required to comply with current Student Health Center employee health safety requirements for health care workers as defined by state and federal regulatory agencies; current health safety requirements to be discussed during interview.

At least 10 years clinical experience in an ambulatory care clinic or similar practice, urgent care or private practice.
At least 5 years administrative experience including personnel management.
Demonstrated management experience in a large complex healthcare facility with proven ability to analyze, interpret and apply management principles, practices and techniques in the conduct of business.
Thorough knowledge of administration of ambulatory healthcare, psychological counseling and student service facilities. Knowledge of management theory and practice in complex healthcare organizations.
Leadership, supervisory and consensus building skills with the knowledge to act within University regulations and in the best interest of the unit. Proven ability to manage crisis situations and effectively facilitate and resolve interpersonal conflicts. Demonstrated skill in problem solving and mediation among competing influences.
