Majority of time is spent as an industrial hygiene consultant and resource and in directing activities within portions of the safety program in a customer focused environment. Qualified candidate will participate in administrative duties as assigned, including budget and resource allocation, and facilitation of staff involved with safety/industrial hygiene-related projects. Will develop and facilitate implementation of creative ideas and suggestions to improve systems, processes and service; develops and implements new policies and procedures; and develops and implements educational programs; evaluates established procedures and educational programs for effectiveness. Must be able to develop, conduct, and facilitate safety and industrial hygiene audits and perform industrial hygiene and chemical hazard assessments and have technical knowledge and experience in industrial hygiene principles and practices.
Master’s degree in Industrial Hygiene or a related field within two years of hire
5 years’ industrial hygiene experience, which includes design of independent projects, data analysis and interpretation
Ability to organize and implement procedures/techniques independently
Significant technical knowledge, understanding of safety and industrial hygiene regulations, ability to effectively communicate both verbally and in written materials, and ability to work both independently and in a team
Ability to be flexible and adaptable to a changing work environment that requires upgrading of skills on a regular basis
Established presentation and training skills, and be capable of demonstrating and exhibiting positive customer service skills.
Working knowledge of PC and ability to use routine computer software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, and databases)
