Our Senior Management Team of talented professionals is seeking a highly motivated, entrepreneurial Senior Officer (Vice President) and Certified Industrial Hygienist to provide technical support and leadership for growth and expansion of EI’s core disciplines. This key player will assist our management team with expansion initiatives locally, regionally, and nationally to build on our 30 years of experience and core client base. EI is well capitalized and this key position will assist in the prudent deployment of our significant financial reserves to hire the best and most experienced talent available. The core competencies of the successful candidate in this position will include the following:
Ability to lead, guide, direct and motivate technical specialists in industrial hygiene, safety and training.
Superior project management skills, including the ability to quickly develop an understanding of project needs, develop successful implementation plans, and carry out complex assignments on time and within budget.
Provide technical training and mentoring to staff, develop internal standard operating procedures for field data collection and reporting, and manage multiple projects through successful delegation to team members.
Business development skills in identifying and developing client prospects and growing the health and safety business group, both regionally and nationally.
Experience in a diverse range of industrial hygiene issues. Experience in laboratory health and safety, complex indoor air quality issues, pharmaceutical manufacturing, and ergonomics is desired.
Other factors for success in this important position include:
Certification by the American Board of Industrial Hygiene required.
Certification by the Board of Certified Safety Professionals preferred.
Working knowledge of state and federal regulations and consensus standards in industrial hygiene and safety.
Strong communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to prepare complex reports.
A BS degree or higher in Industrial Hygiene or Life Sciences is a required.
Ability to multitask, maintain flexibility, travel periodically, and work independently with little supervision.
Valid driver’s license required.
