Job Description Summary The Office of Academic Learning Environment in the Chicago Medical School at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science welcome applications for a full-time Program Coordinator. The Academic Learning Environment (ALE) Programs Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating the logistics for CMS diversity programs, RFU Global Health and CMS Global Health electives, and Community Health electives in the Office of Academic Learning Environment. S/he will provide administrative support to the program directors/course directors of these programs including other ALE programs as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities 1) Coordinate and execute planning and logistics for all CMS Diversity Programming including special events and invited speakers. 2) Coordinate all administrative processes and procedures for CMS Global Health electives including application tracking and paperwork, communication about requirements, and maintaining student files. 3) Manage projects from creation through completion and coordinate resources and materials. 4) Coordinate all administrative logistics for CMS Community Health coursework and maintain student files related to course participation. 5) Provide administrative support for three administrators including but not limited to, calendar management, meeting planning and facilitation, reconciling expenses, and travel arrangements. 6) Assist with other ALE programs as needed. 7) Special projects as assigned.
Required Education & Experience • Bachelor’s Degree • One to three years of experience working in academic setting • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite • Must achieve a background check clearance
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities • Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, D2L or similar education platform). • Ability to adjust to changing priorities and prioritize tasks. • Exemplary interpersonal, verbal and writing communication skills. • Strong proof reading skills and attention to detail. • Welcoming, positive, pleasant, and helpful style of communications. • Excellent organizational and planning skills. • Ability to compose professional correspondence; draft reports. • Strong competency in customer service. • Ability to complete tasks working independently and with others.
